What we recommend, we use first
We do not talk about OCI from a catalog. We design, deploy and run on these services every day, starting with our own platforms.
-
Managed Kubernetes (OKE) on ARM
The production clusters we run are almost entirely Ampere ARM nodes, with multi-architecture images for the remaining x86 nodes.
-
Oracle Autonomous Database
Autonomous transaction processing databases, with one schema per client on multi-tenant platforms.
-
Identity with OCI Identity Domains
Single sign-on with OpenID Connect for applications and their users, using OCI's native identity provider.
-
Secrets in OCI Vault
Keys and credentials kept out of code and containers, with policy-based access.
-
Object Storage, Logging and networking
Object storage, centralized logging and virtual networks with security rules at each layer.
From your data center to operations on OCI
From the first migrated database to day-to-day operations, with the same team.
-
Oracle database migration
From your data center to OCI or to Autonomous Database, with replication —for example, with GoldenGate— when operations cannot stop.
-
Architecture and landing zone
Compartments, networks, identity and policies ready to grow, with documented decisions.
-
Applications on OKE
Containers on managed Kubernetes, with multi-architecture images, CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
-
Native security
Identity Domains, Vault, encryption and least-privilege access from the design stage.
-
FastConnect and multicloud
Dedicated links between OCI, your sites and other clouds, plus the direct interconnection with Azure where it is available.
-
Costs and managed operations
Consumption visible by compartment, and operations in three tiers on your own tenancy.
OCI experience that stays with your team
If your team does not have Oracle Cloud experience yet, it does not need to acquire it before starting. Our engineers embed with your team and leave the knowledge behind.
-
We run it while your team learns
We take care of the platform while your team builds experience, and hand it over as your team takes on operations.
-
Training on your own platform
Hands-on workshops on the architecture we build together, so your team can run it and evolve it. See training.
-
Every decision, documented
Architecture, policies and operating procedures in writing, so the knowledge does not depend on a single person.
Three phases, the same team from start to finish
The three phases of our forward deployed engineering, applied to your migration and operations on OCI.
- Phase 1
Discover and design
We review your databases, applications and licenses, and design the architecture on OCI with its estimated cost and how the result will be measured.
- Phase 2
Build and deliver
We set up the foundation —compartments, network, identity and security— and migrate in stages, validating each one against your real operation.
- Phase 3
Operate and hand over
We leave the platform monitored and documented, and hand it over to your team or run it for you.
OCI when it fits, not always
We also work with AWS, Azure and Google Cloud. If a workload runs better on another cloud, we tell you, and if combining several makes sense, we design the multicloud operation.
What people usually ask us
Does Oracle Cloud have a region in Colombia?
Yes. OCI has a region in Bogotá, which is where our own platforms run. For continuity it can be combined with another OCI region, outside the country, or with another cloud; in that case the design decides which data may leave.
Can you migrate our Oracle database to the cloud?
Yes. Depending on the size, the version and the available window, we migrate to databases on OCI or to Autonomous Database, with replication —for example, with GoldenGate— when operations cannot stop.
Does my team need to know OCI to get started?
No. Our engineers embed with your team, run the platform in the meantime and transfer the knowledge through documentation and workshops, until your team can run it on its own or prefers to delegate it to our managed operations.
OCI, AWS, Azure or Google Cloud?
It depends on the workload. When it revolves around Oracle databases, OCI is usually the natural starting point; for other workloads we compare against the other clouds using your usage data and recommend the one that fits, even if it is not OCI.
Can OCI be used together with other clouds?
Yes. In the regions where they are available, Oracle and Microsoft offer a direct interconnection between OCI and Azure, and Oracle offers its databases inside Azure, AWS and Google Cloud. We also connect OCI with other clouds and with your sites over dedicated links.
Can you run our platform on OCI?
Yes. We offer managed operations in three tiers —Essential, Professional and Strategic— on your own tenancy, or we hand operations over to your team with documentation and support.
